Meet The Creator
Hello! I'm Madison, the founder of Salty Shark Jawels. Alongside running Salty Shark Jawels, I'm a dedicated K/1 teacher. When I'm not in the classroom, you'll often find me by the beach or river, pursuing my passion for fossil hunting and reveling in the water's beauty.
Originally from Colorado, my journey eventually brought me to Florida. Despite my mountain upbringing, my affinity for the ocean and marine life has always been profound. Frequent vacations to Florida fueled this passion even more.
During one such vacation in Boca Grande, FL, I stumbled upon my first shark tooth while leisurely walking the beach. This discovery sparked a deep fascination with fossil hunting and when I moved to Florida, fossil hunting became a regular part of my coastal adventures.
Beginning with crafting for myself, the desire to share both my fossil finds and creative creations drove me to extend the joy of these treasures to others. Each piece carries the excitement and wonder of uncovering ancient relics in the Sunshine State.
If you share a love for the ocean, coastal jewelry, shark teeth, and sharks, then Salty Shark Jawels is for you!
All shark teeth I use in my jewelry are ethically sourced. My boyfriend and I explore a spectrum of Florida’s landscapes - from the sandy beaches to the riverbanks. Depending on location, shark teeth can showcase a variety of colors, spanning from warm tan to slate blue to jet black. This occurs as the teeth absorb minerals from the sediments, creating these stunning hues over time.
